Break
For the last couple of weeks, I have taken a small hiatus from writing, recipe developing and blogging. Sometimes it is so needed to take a step back from a project and reassess, or simply to take a break from it. Tim and I have had an extremely and uncharacteristically hectic Spring season.
With so many things going on, a career, a side hustle, and this personal outlet of Kaity Roses, I realized that I have been extremely distracted, overwhelmed and unorganized. No matter what, I do not want to let goals and dreams take over my responsibilities and I always want to be a help to Tim and provide a comforting haven for him to come home to after work. When I am lacking discipline, I realize that those things that should be my priorities can often become unbalanced. Carving out time for a break to think, pray, focus and plan better has been so good for me.
I am really excited to start writing again and thank you for being patient with me... I just wanted to say, no one can do it all, and that is not the goal. My goal is to work hard and aim to be faithful with what I am responsible to care for here on earth, including my husband, my home and my passions and creativity.
More fun things to share coming up this Summer, but until then.. here is a recent lunch spot I went to a few weeks ago. I started a new job as a stylist at the Anthropologie bridal shop. It is so much fun and I am so thankful for a creative outlet, a beautiful space to work in, the opportunity to interact with unique women every day and call that work. Meanwhile, I also get the opportunity to sample the local coffee shops and cute cafes within walking distance or perhaps a bit too far but definitely worth the jaunt. Here is one of the newest little cafe that my fantastic friend Jess brought me too called Mr. West Cafe Bar. Tell me, what new restaurants and coffee spots have you discovered that I should know about? I would love to know what city you are reading from and what places I should try if I ever were to visit.
