Hello!

Welcome to my website... I hope you enjoy reading about the meals I create, life on a boat, my personal style + travels with my husband!

Halloween Party

Halloween Party

One of my absolute favorite things to do is cater for events or parties.  I have catered for several small events including treats for a wedding.  There are few things I love more than throwing a party.  Making food, serving my friends and enjoying time together.  Every aspect of planning a party is really fun for me.  The food I will make, the decorations and theme I will choose and especially the people to fill the room!  I asked my friend Jess if she would want to host a Halloween party with me because I was thinking of random menu ideas with a Halloween theme and we have been wanting to throw a party together anyway.  She has the greatest little brick walled apartment in Capitol Hill, it is the perfect space for hosting.

I did a really simple appetizer spread and I bought most of the ingredients at Trader Joe's.  Even all the gorgeous pumpkin and eucalyptus bouquets are from there!  We also discovered that those mini pumpkins are not pumpkins at all.  They are for one, peppers and two, they are actually edible (I did not, however taste them)

I really wanted to do finger foods so we did not have to use silverware so here is what I made!

1. Mini Bowls of Butternut Squash Soup w/ Bacon

2. Caramel + Granny Smith Apple Sandwiches

3. Cheese Board w/ Brie, Goat Milk Gouda, Raw Cheddar w/ Wheat Crackers + Mini Clementines (Decorated with eucalyptus leaves)

4. Salted Popcorn + Clementines

5. Spiced Cider

I dressed as a Leopard and Jessica was the perfect Daisy Buchanan from The Great Gatsby.  We had so much fun!

If you are looking for hire a caterer for your small gathering in the Seattle area, please do not hesitate to email me!

enjoy...

Love, Kait
