I thought it would be sort of fun to share some of the workouts and exercises I do in this space. Health and wellness are a huge part of my life. I workout or get outside to exercise every day and eating well is just a part of our lives at home. I already share whole-food, clean recipes over here and I thought, why not share some of the things I am doing to move throughout the week.
Things I do to move:
Yoga — One of my absolute favorite things to do during the week is yoga. I have been going to a class at our local gym for a couple of years now. The thing I like best is we really only do the stretches and strenthening poses along with abb work or arm work, but none of the spiritual stuff that is usually associated with yoga classes. I just like doing the workout!
Walking outside — I try to walk 2-4 miles a day. I either drive to a lake nearby or I walk around our neighborhood in the morning. Sometimes it is really fun to take a class, but there is nothing like being in nature, walking in fresh air. It is so important, nothing beats it! Some nights, Tim and I even walk after dinner, defintely a highlight of our day!
Workouts by Kayla Itsines (also known as BBG) — I have been doing her HIIT workouts on and off for over two years. Nothing gets my legs more in shape than her workouts! They are the best. I also just love Kayla as a person, so genuine, inspiring and kind. Check out her content, like her “SWEAT” app and her BBG 12 week program.
