Blueberry Banana Smoothie
Smoothies have been on repeat around here lately, I love the obvious benefit that you can pack them with so many nutrient goodies and they are so easy to drink up. I have been making them almost every morning for Tim and myself and it is such a wonderful way to start the day. This recipe makes enough for two, however, sometimes I will just drink the entire thing by myself throughout the morning.
Ingredients:
1 Cup Milk or Alternative Milk
1 Cup Frozen Blueberries
1 Frozen Banana (Peel before you freeze in a plastic bag, I always buy a big bunch of bananas every time I go to the grocery story and the ones we do not eat quickly enough, I freeze or make banana bread, gluten free banana bread coming soon)
1 Cup Fresh or Frozen Spinach
1 Tbsp Flax Seed
2 Tsp Chia Seeds (I only add chia about once a week, they kind of mess with your hormones if you eat them too often)
