Hello!

Welcome to my website... I hope you enjoy reading about the meals I create, life on a boat, my personal style + travels with my husband!

Year End

Year End

Righttttt before Christmas we drove up north to visit with some of our favorite people.  I lived with the Moore's when I was in college and nannied for their kids.  These people came to be some of my closest + most treasured friends.  They are also very special to Tim because I was living with them when we started dating and he was obviously quickly loved by both the kids and parents.  We have weirdly similar personalities and dating/marriage stories so a lot of commonalties that hold us together.  When they first got married, they moved to Seattle where both our guys are from so that is one similarity.  Now that we live in Washington + they still live back home in California, we always make sure to see each other when we are in town on either end.  They were staying with another couple of families that we met a few years ago and we all basically hang out, have great conversation and make a lot of yummy food.  All these people truly make anyone feel like family and right at home once you walk through the door.  Here is a little window into our afternoon.

I have to say, I love a good blurry photo... who's with me?!  I love making food boards too!  I am planning on doing a post about my food board tips, you can basically make them with whatever you have, its all about how you like things placed.  We had a blast.  We made sample boards, took lots of silly photos and made the easiest clam chowder.  I will do a post on that too!

I hope everyone is enjoying a wonderful break.  I know sometimes holidays are not as enjoyable as we might hope them to be.  Life can be great one year and hard to be happy the next.  With so much pressure for Christmas to be sweet and joyful I just want to say, it does not always have to be.  Last year was a difficult year for me personally because of so much change.  I am so grateful for all the gifts I have been given, to have Tim and to be where we are this year.  Looking forward to a New Year and new goals including, new challenges as well!  I wish the same for you.  Thank you for reading along here this year!  Xx
