Radish Crudités

Over the last few years, I have developed a love for styling.  Styling clothing, styling props for a photo shoot and most predominantly, styling food.  Charcuterie, crudités and cheese boards are some of my absolute favorite to style and serve because they are just so beautiful.  It isn't only that they are visually pretty, but I have found they encourage people to really try new combinations of food together, or in this radish board's case, it just encourages people to try new veggies they might not normally buy at the store.

Here are the raw veggies on this crudités:

• Arugula
• Red radishes (so rad)
• Easter egg radishes
• Watermelon radish
• Cauliflower
• Romanesco Broccoli

Here is the dip::

• Smooth Goat cheese spread
• Drizzle of organic honey

It is crazy how good honey + goat cheese taste with radishes!  Also, I like to makes these and leave out the cheese early because the more room-temp the goat cheese is, the smoother and creamier it will taste and that much easier to dip!

How gorgeous is this watermelon radish?  Obsessed.

Also, this romanesco broccoli is so unique looking.  I love its texture and almost florescent green hue.  It is otherwise known as "Roman cauliflower", which makes my italian heart happy.

The reason for this love of food is a whole number of things, but one of the things that always come to mind is community.  People gathered, conversation, eating + drinking and laughing together. Food has an interesting way of bringing folks together and bringing about conversation that might not otherwise come up, eating is something we all have to do to survive and so I love making it lovely, fun, colorful, wholesome, healthy (sometimes not healthy! like my last food post), and happy.  I always want to inspire this in others and have my friends and family know when they come over, they will be fed well and thoughtfully because I love them and I love good food.
