Herbed Butter Spread
Lately I have been obsessed with making bread, if you have not noticed, wonderful, if you have not tried my recipe yet, I suggest you head over to the recipe a few posts back and make my bread recipe!
With all this bread making madness, I realized I never posted one of my favorite things to dip the bread in: herbed butter! The thing about this spread is that it is the easiest, tastiest, and one of the prettiest appetizers. It also seems to do really well with all my guests, it is a nearly irresistible!
In essence, you spread butter (and I exclusively buy Kerrygold brand butter) on a cutting board or flat serving tray and dust the top of it with salt and pepper and truly whatever fresh or dried herbs that you have one hand. Zest a little citrus on top depending on the season and BOOM! Herbed butter that will practically make you want to lick your fingers!!
For this specific herbed butter recipe, these are the garnishes I used… I love all the colors, you truly cannot go wrong with this, as I always say: use what you have in your kitchen, what you already like and be creative!
Ingredients:
Kerrygold butter
Fresh rosemary (I get the small packets from Trader Joe’s and try and use them up as quickly as possible)
Fresh Thyme
Red pepper flakes
Freshly cracked kosher salt (the larger the salt flakes the better in my opinion!)
Freshly cracked black pepper
Lemon zest
DIP BABY DIP!
I would love to see your version of this bad boy… please tag me or repost if you love this recipe!
You are the best, and thank you for reading… means the world!
